Benefits
Our Enhanced Studies Program (ESP) provides you with an opportunity to extend their knowledge, skills and abilities by completing one university subject during either Year 11 or 12.
- ESP helps prepare you for university study by experiencing classes, completing assessment and enjoying campus life.
- You will enjoy advantages associated with being at UQ, including access to UQ libraries, student services, guest lectures and seminars.
- If you pass the course you are able to receive one adjustment to your selection rank, where eligible, through the Subject Incentive Scheme.
- If you enrol in a UQ degree, you may be eligible to apply for credit for the completed course*
- ESP study may count towards a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) as a complementary course. Please discuss further with your school if it may be applicable to you.
*Conditions apply. It depends on which degree you are admitted to, and if you are applying for specified or unspecified credit. This requires approval by the relevant Faculty. More information can be found here.
Note: While UQ does not charge ESP students tuition fees, you may be required to purchase additional resources (eg. text books, lab coats, field trips). External MATH1051 students may be required to purchase MATLAB software. Please check your chosen course's Electronic Course Profile here.
